Eli Young Band Gets Its First No. 1 Country Album

One wonders if the Eli Young Band got drunk last night: The guys landed his first No. 1 country album with their third major label release, 10000 Burgos.

On the strength of its first single, "Drunk Last Night" EYB sold about 36,000 copies of the new album in its first week on sale, nearly 1,000 more than the first week sales of her previous album, Life in the better.

This also gave Eli Young Band their first Top 5 album on the Billboard 200 all genre, topping releases from rocker Beck, Lorde teen hitmaker ("Real") and others.

Currently, EYB guys are on the other side of the globe touring Australia, but back in the U.S. in late March.
