Awolnation and the Eli Young Band will headline the first Redd Sun Festival at the Redding Civic Auditorium in September.

The lineup for the two-day, weekend event was announced Monday.

Awolnation will close the rock portion of the festival Sept. 29.

Eli Young Band headlines country day Sept. 30.

Seattle-based Candlebox, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, also will play Sept. 29. Lit and Floater round out the day of rock.

Supporting Eli Young Band will be Frankie Ballard, Carly Pearce and David Luning.

“We are excited to bring this many Billboard-charting bands to Redding for the Redd Sun Festival,” Nathan Parmelee, talent buyer for Redding Civic Auditorium, said in a news release. “This will be the biggest music event the lawn has ever seen, and we’ve been incredibly happy with the positivity and enthusiasm already building since we announced the festival.”

Music starts at 4 p.m. each day. The headliners are expected to take the stage at 9 p.m.

The festival will play out on the front lawn of the Civic. The stage will be on the far north end of the lawn and face south. Food, bars and vendors, plus activities for all ages, will complement the music.

Ticket prices also were released today.

A two-day general admission ticket is $155, $85 for one day.

There also are VIP packages that include premium seating, private bar and designated restrooms.
